How to build your email list?

November 22nd, 2009

It is great that you have chosen to read this article. Carry on and find out more.

Email marketing can be fruitful for any business or company, no matter what kind of product or service you are selling. It is importantly cheaper than other ad methods and it helps build credibility with your subscribers. As a result, you can start out getting more revenue and profits.

The best start for successful electronic mail marketing is a targeted, responsive and permission-based electronic mail list. If you have a list of subscribers that want to read your messages and conceive you as an expert, you’ve established the first step and are on your way!

Below you will several list-building ideas that will help you make the most of your electronic mail marketing efforts:

1. Provide useful, relevant and unequalled content. Your visitors and subscribers will not give you their electronic mail addresses just because they want support to your newsletter free of charge. You have to provide unequalled and valuable information that will be beneficial to your subscribers.

2. Add a subscription form to every page of your website. Make sure it stands out so it is easy to find. If appropriate, you can also place it in more than one place. For instance, your opt-in form might always appear in the top-left corner of your site, while you also place an opt-in at the end of some of your most read articles or the footer of your theme.

3. Make it light for your reader to sign up. The more information you request, the fewer people will opt-in. In most cases, a name and an electronic mail address should suffice. If it’s not necessary, don’t put it in your form. (Note: If you don’t have a Privacy Policy, put the search term “privacy policy generator” into a search engine and you should be able to find a desirable text for your readers to review.

4. Issue a Privateness Policy. Let your readers know that they can be confident you will not share their information with others. The easiest way to do this is to set up a Privacy Policy page and provide the link to it at a lower place your opt-in form.

5. Show your first subject in a summary form to your visitors. This lets expected subscribers examine your newsletter before they sign up to determine if it is something they’d be interested in.

6. Archive earlier articles and issues. A “library” of past times newsletters is both pleading and utilitarian to visitors and builds your credibility as an authority. In addition, if your articles are written with good SEO techniques in mind, they can send supererogatory people to your web site through good search engine positioning.

7. Get through to other newsletter publishers. Enter yourself and explore ways you may be able to help each other. Perhaps you can get in other publisher’s newsletters or print articles they have issued to your list, with a link to sign up. When you communicate with them, be sure to tell them why you think THEIR readers would like what you have to offer and why YOUR readers would benefit from their newsletters. This is a win-win scenario; both of you will build your lists faster!

8. Give away bonuses subscribers can use. Create an opt-in incentive for joining your subscriber list. You can write an ebook or PDF report, or even employ a programmer to create downloadable or web-based software. But don’t bound yourself to only a free gift for new opt-ins. Prompt your readers that the next incentive is approaching soon. People detest to miss out on things. If you systematically pass on “goodies” throughout the year, your subscribers are unlikely to leave.

9. Ask your subscribers to pass it on. Word of mouth is a interesting viral proficiency that works great with electronic mail marketing. If your subscribers find the news you share with them to be informative, they will pass your newssheet on to their friends. This can be a good solution of new subscribers.

10. Let others reprint your newsletter as long as the subject is not modified. Many webmasters and newsletter publishers are actively looking for high-quality subjects and, if they reprint your newsletter, you will get new subscribers, traffic and links pointing to your site.

11. Include a “Sign Up” button in the newsletter. If you are using plain text instead of HTML, provide a text link to your subscription page. You may feel that this is not requisite because the visitor is already on your list, but remember that readers will forward your newsletters to others, or reprint it online. You want to make it easy for them to subscribe.

12. Add a squeeze page. A squeeze page has one finish ? to get an opt-in and build your list. Think of it like a mini-sales letter for your subscription or opt-in bonus. It features a powerful headline and a set of very crucial benefits that should make subscribers read on to sign up to your list. Once created, use a service such as WordTracker to find hundreds of targeted keywords, and advertize there using pay-per-click advertising from Google, MSN and Yahoo.

13. Admit testimonials on your squeeze page. This is crucial. Put 1 or 2 strong testimonials from satisfied subscribers on your squeeze page. This can be in any format, but you may find that multimedia (audio or video social proof) is more “believable”. To advance that believability, let in full names, locations and/or urls; don’t use “Bob K, FL” as a protection name.

14. Blog religiously. Blogging is a great way to intercommunicate with your in all likelihood customers, and it creates a decent synergy with your electronic mail marketing. Be sure to let in your newsletter sign-up form on each page of your blog. You can start a free web log at Blogger or Wordpress.

15. Post on other blogs. Post great comments and information on similar blogs with a link to your squeeze or opt-in page. Also comment on others’ blogs through trackbacks. In most cases, your comments will be posted on their blogs with a link back to your site. This is an well-fixed way to produce new traffic and subscribers.

Use Your Company’s Email Newsletter Wisely

November 21st, 2009

You have decided to start an online business. From the very start you should plan to implement a coherent plan to obtain email addresses from your site’s visitors in order to build a long term relationship with them.

Developing a good newsletter for your subscribers can do a lot to bring visitors back to your site. Repeat visitors are actually much more valuable than visitors on their first visit to your business. Obtaining this high quality traffic is a wise marketing decision.

Use your newsletter to keep the readers informed about your company. Let them know about special promotions that you are offering, and remind them that you are reliably able to meet their relevant needs.

Your newsletters will allow you to establish your brand in the minds of your potential customers. Your copy can impress upon your readers your professionalism, while reminding them to refer your business to their friends and associates.

Here are a few of the issues that you should keep foremost in your mind in creating your newsletter marketing plan:

1) Remember that visitors of a certain site are there because they are interested in what the site has to offer. If they sign up for an opt-in list or for a newsletter this means that they want to be updated for that certain theme or subject. Be sure that when you publish your newsletter you are providing for the need of the subscriber as well as their interests. In other words, stay focused upon the theme of your business’s website.

2) Your subscribers’ trust in your business is tied to the image that you present in your periodic newsletters. Make sure that it always contains plenty of useful, pertinent information, presented in a professional way.

3) Fact-check your articles. Make sure that you provide true facts and figures so that your reputation as an expert and knowledgeable in that field is not questioned. If you lose the trust of your subscribers these may persuade them to unsubscribe to your newsletter. You will lose many potential sales this way.

4) Always make sure that the content of your newsletters is fresh. Do not write them so far in advance that the subjects become outdated before they reach your subscribers. You want to be sure that your newsletter is current in order to keep your readers opening the emails that you send them.

5) Don’t use copyrighted materials such as images and articles. This is plagiarism, and you may get into a lot of trouble for this. You can lose your business and get sued over copyright infringement. If you do not have the time to write your own articles, there are many willing and able professional article writers that can do it for you for a reasonable fee. All your investment in writing and publishing articles will be well worth it when you see your list build and your traffic increase.

How to Use Email Marketing to Increase Both Customer Acquisition & Retention

June 14th, 2009

Email marketing is a genius, easy way to generate leads for your business. You have to view it as an art form, because today people have been deluged with marketing emails and most of it is just plain old spam. When using email marketing for your company, you have to be careful with how you employ it.

Email marketing must always be used as a voluntary means of getting people to contact you. In other words, you will continue sending your newsletters and special email announcements until someone on your mailing list decides to voluntarily contact you to do business with you. The question of the day here is, how will you get your email list to begin with. You get this with opt-in.

Opt-in is when people are allowed to make their own decision or option of signing up on your website to receive information from you or your partners. They will give you their name and an email address. You should use an autoresponder to to ensure that the person will get a copy of the new newsletter each and every time you send it. They will not tag you as a spammer because they have asked that you send them your information.

Email marketing is a brilliant way of keeping your name and business in front of someone. A person has to be asked to buy, on average, six times before they will take action. There will be pleasant exceptions to this, of course, in the form of people who love you right away and buy from you right away. Given how most people are, you should always keep your brand top of mind with them or they will forget you quickly. People are very busy, after all.

Now, the thing that is great about email marketing is that you are only sending out your emails to qualified leads. These people all came to your website for some reason, and then they all asked you to send them your newsletters for some reason. This means that they have interest on some level in you. Some of these leads are likely to be more motivated than others are, but at least they are not completely dead end leads.

Remember make your e-newsletter full of great content without just giving away all that you do for nothing. Make people look forward to getting information from you and cannot wait until they get more. Motivate them to start forwarding your newsletters to their friends or associates. Set them up for special offers that come with every other communication. Give them the feeling that you are worthy to buy from because you are so smart, witty, entertaining, and generous with your knowledge. Blast past your competitors with this method.

Use email marketing methods like this and your business will prosper.

Burn them to a CD or DVD and sell them on eBay. If you hurry on over to ebay right now, you’ll see a few CD’s full of hundreds of ebooks about any subject you can think of. How To Make Email Marketing Work For You

June 1st, 2009

One of the strongest tools in an Internet marketer’s arsenal is email – and with good reason. Getting a big list of targeted prospects together is a tremendous asset to have. Yet, many Internet marketers stumble when looking to put together their lists because they don’t know the right way to get started. Just how does someone start getting people to opt-in?

The first thing to keep in mind is that people are getting more and more used to marketers asking them to fill in their name and email address. Therefore, it’s simply not enough to just put up your opt-in form and hope for the best. You really do need to “sell” the opt-in, and one of the top ways to do it is with a giveaway or ethical “bribe”. Put together a free downloadable report around your niche topic and offer it for free to everyone that fills in their name and email address. This is a good way to convince them to take some time and fill out your opt-in form.

Your giveaway doesn’t need to be a report. It can be a video, an audio interview with someone respected in your industry, or maybe even exclusive access to some protected part of your website. Whatever it is, the key is to ensure that your giveaway brings value to the user. This does two things:

  1. The user will start to form trust with you, which means that promotions and recommendations are more likely to be accepted.
  2. If the content is good enough, there’s a good chance that the user will help you spread the word by telling their friends about it.

In many cases, this giveaway is really a first impression of sorts, and as we are all aware, first impressions are very important. So, make sure that your giveaway is quality and offers true value to your subscribers.

The second point may seem obvious, but you would be surprised how many people don’t do this. Be sure that your opt-in box is in a highly visible place above the fold. Above the fold means the part of the screen that is visible before you have to scroll downwards. What we’ve seen is that visitors are more likely to notice your subscription box if they do not have to scroll down to see it. To make your opt-in box more visible, try a shade that easy to spot on your website. You can also try to add arrows or other graphics to draw attention to the subscription box. Of course, be sure to show the visitor your fabulous giveaway for signing up.

Finally, in your opt-in box, always remember to summarize or point to your privacy policy. SPAM (or junk email) is a big problem, and many people are turned off from email marketing in fear of having their email addresses sold or distributed.  In order to get people to opt-in, you need to be able to convince them that you are worthy of trust and that you will not share their email without express permission. By doing so, your opt-in rate will noticeably increase, so take the time to ease the minds of your visitors.

As long as email exists, email marketing is not going away. By putting these techniques to use, you too can start building a targeted list of subscribers that are responsive to your own promotions.

Email marketing works like gangbusters if you can create a list targeted around a particular niche. Master niche marketer Mark Dulisse has launched a new course called IM Niche Formula. A struggling single father of three young children, Mark was able to create a massive income online with niche marketing and web 2.0 tactics. Easy Ways To Get Your Opt In Subscribers To Trust You Quickly

May 18th, 2009

With more and more people having access to the internet, there is a growing problem with junk mail, also called “spam”.  So companies have developed many filters and protections to keep email accounts spam-free, there are also those who subscribe to mail that promote their products, services and their site.  This is mainly because these subscribers want to receive offers and information from the sites they frequent. They would like to receive information on what they are interested in and what’s new in the field they have chosen.

Internet Marketing businesses would be lucky to have these people who subscribe; the basic element needed to get these types of people is trust. When your subscribers trust you they’ll reward you with their loyalty. Most people who use the internet have gone to great lengths protecting their internet mail accounts from spam.  Many internet providers of free email services and almost all internet service providers offer spam protection and there are also some online companies screen your email. The students I coach at my website know this well.

If you are involved in online marketing, you probably have an opt-in list, and you need to have the email you send containing your promotional materials (newsletters, catalogs, ezines, etc.) go through. The subscriber will be able to read your emails that you have sent. When someone requests information, you’ll have to have permission from your recipient, and to get this permission, you need to be able to get their trust. And with the huge problem of spam, getting a person to trust you can be difficult.

My students at my website are taught how to build a good opt in list. In order to build a good email list you need to gain people’s trust, and for a faster and quicker build up, it’s critical for your opt-in subscribers to trust you quickly. The faster you build your autoresponder the faster word about your site and company is spread. The more subscribers on your opt-in list the more traffic will come to your site and you’ll create more profits.  Here are two helpful tips about how to gain your customers’ trust.

1.  Gaining your clientele’s trust won’t be difficult especially since you have a legitimate business. Getting your reader’s trust needs to be based upon your expertise. Most people rely on people who are credible. Learn as much as you can about your business so you can be knowlegable in your area of expertise..

2. Show your readers that you understand what you’re talking about. Provide them with helpful hints and things such as product reviews that have to do with your service or product. For instance, talk about how to install a roof if you provide hardware products or provide articles on what to do if you’ve been in an accident if you’re a settlement lawyer. You don’t have to be a large company to have an opt-in list. When your customers believe you are an expert who knows what he is doing and saying, they will trust you quickly.

The most important thing to remember is that when your readers trust you don’t do anything to lost it. For instance, if you do anything with your reader’s email addresses like sell it, you will lose many members of your list as well as sales. For more information, please visit my website.
