Why would I like to become a Medical Transcriptionist?

December 19th, 2009

It seems as if my whole life I have been dreaming about becoming somebody. What I mean by this is I have always felt insecure about being JUST a stay at home mom. I use to watch a lot of my friends go off to work every day and they had children. It made me feel like I wasn’t as good. I have been a long time stay at home mom for over 22 years. I am fortunate that I was able to stay at home with my children, but I always felt I needed more. Now these feelings that I have had for so long about really feeling like a nobody and wanting to become a somebody in the career world are all about to change. In 2005 I had some significant changes in my life. I went through an ugly divorce that has left me a lot less financially dependent than I ever wanted to be or thought that I could ever be. It makes you realize how definitely, valuable some type of education skill is to have. Thus always having medical transcription at home jobs in the back of my mind.  Jobs typing work home has always intrigued me. I even started the paper work at one time in my life and got very side tracked. I am really kicking myself now for not following through. SN:0MA9N2ESY

I feel through my experiences and challenges since my divorce that Medical transcription training could have already helped me so much. I would have never had to go through some of the trials I have had to face would I have had and finished my previous training. So here I am at last! Ready and willing! Some of the advantages of working in the MT industry are definitely about flexibility but my biggest, biggest, dream is to have a home base business (yes in my home even though I was there for many years) but to be able to rely on my own Home Base Business INCOME!! Huge to me! Some of my educational/career goals that I would definitely like to accomplish is First: Finishing this course. Second: Working out of my home performing my skills I will learn. Third : Becoming financially dependent with my own income, never again having to count on anyone but myself. Fourth: Most important to me, feeling my rewards of accomplishment, and finally knowing that I now feel that me, (is someone) and finally my dream is no longer a dream . It is my new reality! My MT Career! All out of my Home Sweet Home!

Work From Home & Earn a Great Income

November 18th, 2009

I began looking for medical transcription at home jobs on the internet and decided to start training to be a medical transcriptionist to achieve financial freedom and the flexibility to work from the comforts of my own home. Since being downsized from my previous employer (which was a financial institution that was seized by the government), I have been looking for a career path in a steady industry. After reading several sources, I found that the healthcare industry wasn’t hit as hard as the other industries during the recession. I can’t think of another online typing job that pays as well as medical transcription. SN:0MA9N2ESY

I believe that Future MT will give me the foundation I need to start a medical transcriptionist career. This career path could, and most likely will, change my life. I am at a point in my life when I want to get married and have kids soon. My father was always traveling when I was a kid and I want to make sure that I have the flexibility and time to be around when my kids are growing up. I also would like to earn an income, while being around for my kids, which will comfortably provide for my family. My short term goals would be to get an medical transcriptionist education from Future MT in order to build a base education for my career. After that, I see myself looking for a job as a medical transcriptionist. Once I find a job and start my career as a medical transcriptionist, I see myself making money and getting married. I want to work part-time to start to insure that I have a steady income (traditional restaurant job) before transferring to be a medical transcriptionist full time. After spending a couple years in the full time capacity as a medical transcriptionist, and gaining hands on information and experience, I would like to share my experience with others that are at that time looking to get into the medical transcription industry. I would like to also start a medical transcription company.
