Nail Courses are Great for Kick Starting your Beauty Career

November 15th, 2009

Nail courses are great for anyone who is looking to increase their income and do what they like, and who doesn’t like a spa?  When you have the opportunity to learn about how to apply acrylic nails, gel nails, fiberglass nails and even just how to do great natural looking manicures, you have to take it.  This “down” economy has been a really good opportunity for many people, young and old to better themselves and increase their career choices through trade schools. Beauty is one variety of trade school, and it’s A BIG ONE.  Beauty school and specifically Nail technician school is really a great place to be right now because when you all get finished with your advanced nail training you will be in a better position then you started.

Nail Schools Let You Make Good Money

Nail Technicians make great money anywhere from $25 to $50 dollars per hour depending on a treatment.  For nail technicians that are great at giving a good pedicure, you can make a session or more. Most of you who are still reading will agree that that is a great pay raise.  So in case you need more motivation to start studying for your nail training exams, lets look at all the great aspects of your new career.

After Nail Courses, You Can’t Not Like Your Job

Nail techs have fun at work.  Let me ask you a few questions.  Do you enjoy good conversation?  Do you have fun working with your hands?  Do you like free beauty treatments and great music?  I thought so.  When you get to be a real expert and start taking creative nail art classes, you are going to enjoy that even more too.

Nail Technology Has Many Forms

You can study various different kinds of nail art.  There are nail technicians that will only do natural nails in their manicures and pedicures, keeping a natural look and staying away from fake nails and acrylics.  Some artists love the look of beautiful artistic nail and don’t mind working with acrylic and gels to make great work.  If you decide to really specialize on the kinds of nail art that you like the most, you will be happier with your career and you will attract better clients because they will feel your energy too.

Pedicurists have amazing flexibility as well.  Don’t get any crazy ideas now, i just mean that a professional manicurist can work whenever and wherever she chooses.  Your standard work space will be in a beauty salon at a nail bar or in a nail salon with your own private area.  Some nail techs decide to open their own salon which only takes a few more nail technician courses.  This is a great option for those who dream big and want to have a business someday. Another choice that some nail junkies make is to take the path of a mobile nail tech. It is becoming more and more common for nail technicians to pack up their clippers, and their magnifying lamps and their OPI nail polish and whatever else they can fit in their nail equipment bags and drive to their clients homes to do a session. If you enjoy driving a bit to break up the day and have a sense of adventure about you, this would probably be a perfect job for you.  Quite a few spa parties have been orchestrated with mobile nail technicians and other beauty industry professionals tagging along.

Well i hope  i have wet your whistle for nail tech schools because it really is a fun and enjoyable career choice.
