Internet Web site marketing is not just for big companies and computer geeks any more.

It is an absolute fact that more and more people are turning to the Internet through computers and wireless devices as their first source for information. The big companies already know that, and have Internet Web site marketing plans in place to reach these consumers where they now most often turn for information and research.

Organizations, individuals and small businesses often find themselves unsure about how to act upon this major shift in consumer behavior, find themselves not fully aware of it, or don’t really understand it or believe they can’t afford it.

One of the industry leaders in Internet Web site marketing, OurNewsCafe.com, is ready to help with prices that fit within most existing advertising and marketing budgets, along with personalized service.

“We offer more than 50 years of professional media experience, including more than a decade of building and maintaining Web sites for media companies,” Bret McCormick, co-founder of Our News Café, said. “Along the way, we’ve learned not only how to put a site and information on the Internet, but the ways to laser-target your message.”

50 percent of consumers surveyed said they turn to search engines to find a local business, according to a recent Nielsen Online survey, followed by yellow pages directories at 24 percent, Internet-based yellow pages directories at 10 percent, local newspapers at 4 percent, and white pages directories at 3 percent.

Consumers’ use of search engines has increased more than 72 percent since a similar e-survey was conducted two years ago. (Source: Nielsen Online/WebVisible survey, Feb. 2009)

“These results confirm what most people have come to know through their personal experience, or the observation of the world around them: the word ‘Google’ has become interchangeable with the word ‘search,’” McCormick said.

OurNewsCafe.com consistently places its clients on the first page of Google for targeted keyword phrases, but that’s only the start.

Our News Café’s Internet Web site marketing strategy includes a comprehensive review of the customer’s target markets and niches, and extends far beyond Google. Search engine optimization, video, and implementations on Facebook, Bing, Yahoo and Twitter are included in the strategies for most clients.

Proof? It was no accident if you found this article because it ranked highly in a Bing, Google or Yahoo search. Since you did a search for Internet Web site marketing information, we targeted and found you. People with the specific interest, like you, were the targets of the way this article was distributed, marketed, crafted and designed. Small Business Internet Marketing Means More Than Just A Web Site

October 14th, 2009

small business internet marketing success

Big companies know that in order to reach their customers where they are actually searching for and researching, they must have not only a Web site, but a comprehensive Internet strategy. It is equally important for smaller firms, organizations and even individuals to have a small business Internet marketing plan that goes beyond just having a Web site.

According to a recent Nielsen Online survey, 50 percent of consumers surveyed said they turn to search engines to find a local business, followed by yellow pages directories at 24 percent, Internet-based yellow pages directories at 10 percent, local newspapers at 4 percent, and white pages directories at 3 percent.

“These results confirm what most people have come to know through their personal experience, or the observation of the world around them: the word ‘Google’ has become interchangeable with the word ‘search,’” said Bret McCormick, co-founder of OurNEWSCafe.com, one of the industry leaders in small business Internet marketing.

OurNEWSCafe.com Stands Ready to Handle Important Keyword Research Tasks

October 5th, 2009

keyword research

Keyword research is one of the most overlooked aspects of search engine optimization, but it is perhaps the most important.

There are ads everywhere on the Internet from companies offering guaranteed top-10 placements for your keywords in Google, Yahoo, etc. If you stop and think about it, not every keyword can be in the top 10 in search engine listings. Contact one of those agencies and tell them you want them to guarantee you a top-10 placement for the keyword Pepsi. A quick Google search shows that there are more than 30 million Web sites indexed for that keyword. If any 11 of those 30 million companies placed orders with the top search engine optimization firms in the world, at least one of the guarantees could not be delivered because there are not 11 slots in any top 10.

So you see why keyword research is important — about 30 million reasons why. If your site is about Pepsi, you have to know going in that if you want people to find you in the search engines, they are going to have to go through about 3 million pages of Google results to find you. You can understand why successful companies that can get your site correctly optimized for search engines are in high demand when you consider the fact that the vast majority of people don’t make it past the first page or two on Google or Yahoo.

Deciding on a more narrow focus for the site is one way to deal with the Pepsi problem described above. If you decided to do a site on the Pepsi logo, instead of just Pepsi, a check of Google shows that there are 222,000 sites indexed for the keyword phrase Pepsi logo, for example. Your chances of achieving a first-page rating increased by 135 percent, albeit it is still not a slam dunk. There are 14,400 sites indexed in Google for the keyword phrase Pepsi logo redesign, if you would decide to take the focus-narrowing process one more step. By doing so, your chances for a first-page ranking just improved by another 15 percent.

Finding the keyword niche that works best for what you are trying to achieve with your site and your online marketing is one of the problems OurNEWSCafe.com works to solve for its clients. And, we go another very important step – we find out just how many people are searching for the targeted keyword or keyword phrase. We discovered that there are very few searches for the keyword phrase Pepsi logo redesign in any given month, so a first-page ranking for that phrase still may not generate enough clicks and page views to accomplish your goals, in this case.

OurNewsCafe.com is here to take care of all of those keyword research issues for you, so you can do what you do best: run your business.

Social Media Marketing Expertise Offered by OurNEWSCafe.com

September 26th, 2009

Our News Cafe

The social and media landscapes across the United States have been changing for years, and continue to change even faster than before, creating marketing challenges for small businesses across the country. The quickly disappearing reach of the traditional media such as newspapers, television, shoppers, and radio are among the changes. The audience share of TV and radio stations continue to decline nationwide, and newspaper paid circulation follows that trend.  Yellow-Page-style books are following suit and either going longer periods between publishing due to usage degradation, or closing.

Of course, the leading catalyst of these changes is the advent of the Internet. Most of the traditional media offer only sponsor logos and statis tile and banner advertising on their own Web sites. This alone falls far short of intercepting the way people are actually using the Web today to make purchasing decisions and interact on a social level with one another, unfortunately. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) are just a couple of the key components in developing a Web strategy that works.

The missing links for the small business owner to reach the increasing number of people who are utilizing digital devices to receive the information they want and need are available through OurNEWSCafe.com. Social media marketing, one of the most important missing links, is one of the small-business-oriented services offered by OurNewsCafe.com.

Where do consumers turn first to find a local business?

According to a recent Nielsen Online survey, 50% of consumers surveyed said they turn to search engines to find a local business, followed by yellow pages directories at 24%, Internet-based yellow pages directories at 10%, local newspapers at 4%, and white pages directories at 3%.

Since a similar survey conducted two years ago, the recent e survey found that consumer usage of search engines has increased by 72%. Source: Nielsen Online/WebVisible survey, Feb. 2009

OurNEWSCafe.com is a top social media marketing and online brand management firm. If you don’t have a Web site, we’ll build you one. When people are searching for the product or service you offer in your area, it will “organically” rank in the search engines due to the search-engine-optimization analysis that we offer. What that means for you is more opportunities for your message to get to people who are looking for the product or service you provide. We’ll geo-target your site so people in your community who are searching for your service find it, not people in China.

Our professional management of the exploding social media marketing platforms of Twitter, Facebook and others allow you to place your messages directly in front of the people who will have the opportunity to act on them. Our proprietary systems draw followers from your local area to your Twitter account and Facebook page, where we can help create and manage dynamic, result-getting messages.

You will continue to hear the term “hyper local,” which means tailoring media messages to a community or even neighborhood level, as the media landscape continues to change. This is how you, the local businessperson, will get the most bang for your buck through social media marketing. And this is how OurNEWSCafe.com is ready to help.

To learn more about how OurNEWSCafe.com can work for you anywhere in the United States or Canada, send an e-mail to publisher@ournewscafe.com with “send marketing information” in the subject line.
