Affiliate Programs: Separating the Wheat from the Chaff

November 29th, 2009

If you’ve done any investigation at all of Internet marketing, you’ll know plenty of rip-offs abound. Unfortunately, Internet marketers with no morals take advantage of the abundance of people who come online every day looking for ways to quit their jobs. It’s sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to get involved with scams or at least bad business ideas that line marketers’ pockets and leave buyers with nothing. Thankfully, methods abound for making money on the Internet with no money required. This should be good news to those who have had run-ins with Web scheme run by rip-off artists!

But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. A good example of this is the recent controversy over an web business-in-a-box, called site Build It. Some believe that one or more people have created a SBI review that was misleading. The owner has publicly defended himself and he could be totally right. But it’s up to every individual to do their own research before paying money for Internet “opportunities”.

One of the most successful ways I’ve found to make money online is totally above-board and is also pretty easy. I make money on HubPages. HubPages — a group blogging site — makes it so easy to write content that generates ad revenue. How many content “hubs” (pages) you create is up to you. Each hub has the potential to make up to five forms of revenue: Amazon and eBay items, any affiliate marketing program you want to choose, Google AdSense ads and Kontera ads. Sixty percent of the impressions (page views) that generate income go to you and HubPages gets the other forty percent. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; One hundred percent of income generated by clicks from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. Writing solid hubs takes a bit of practice but the revenue you can generate over time makes it worth it.

There are many affiliate marketing programs out there but I like to use RevResponse on my hubs, because it provides valuable free information for people. When people click on links to any of the RevResponse publications or white papers and qualify, you make money. It’s just that easy. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so you have to understand that aspect. To learn more, read this affiliate marketing review. It will help you ascertain whether signing up is worth the time it would take to sign up.

How to Make Money on the Internet and Keep Your Integrity Intact

November 16th, 2009

People who are the least bit savvy about Web marketing know scams abound, no matter where you look. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the multitudes of inexperienced people who are looking for better lives. It’s sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to get involved with scams or at least bad business ideas that line the marketers’ pockets and leave the buyers with nothing. Thankfully, methods abound for making money on the Internet with no up-front investment. This will probably come as a revelation to those who have been ripped off by Web schemes!

But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. An example of this is the controversy over an Internet business opportunity named Site Build It. Some people think that at least one person has written a Site Build It affiliate review that was misleading. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he could be totally right. But it’s up to every individual to do their own research before paying money for Internet “opportunities”.

One of the ways I make money on the Web is above-board and also fairly simple to implement. I make money writing using HubPages. HubPages — a group blogging site — makes it so simple to create content and generate ad revenue. How many content “hubs” you create is up to you. Each hub you create can make up to five types of revenue: Google AdSense, Kontera in-text ads, Amazon products, eBay auction items and any affiliate program you want to implement. Sixty percent of the impressions (page views) that generate revenue go to you and HubPages gets the other 40 percent. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; One hundred percent of income generated by click-throughs from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. Writing good hubs takes a bit of practice but in my opinion, the revenue you can earn over time makes it worth the effort.

One of the affiliate programs I like to use on my hubs is RevResponse, because people who sign up get credible free information. When anyone clicks on your links and qualifies to receive free RevResponse publications or white papers, you make money. It’s just that easy. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so that aspect is important to understand. To learn more about the rules, check out this affiliate marketing review. The information in the review will help you know whether RevResponse is right for your readers.

Make Money on the Web Using Just Your Writing Talent

July 25th, 2009

People who are the least bit savvy about Web marketing know there are plenty of scams. Unfortunately, marketers with no morals take advantage of the multitudes of inexperienced people who are looking for better lives. It’s sad, because millions probably get duped into spending money uneccessarily, only to pursue schemes that never yield any fruit. Thankfully, methods abound for making money on the Internet with no up-front investment. This will probably come as a revelation to those who have been ripped off by online schemes!

But sometimes one person’s scam is another person’s good opportunity. An example of this is the controversy over an web business opportunity named Site Build It. Some believe that at least one person has created a SBI review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he might be right about his product being on the up-and-up. But it’s up to every individual to do their own research before paying money for Internet “opportunities”.

One of the ways I make money on the Web is above-board and also fairly simple to implement. I make money with no money on HubPages. HubPages — a community blogging site –  makes it quite easy to generate content-based ad revenue. The number of HubPages “hubs” you create is up to you. Each hub you create can make up to five types of revenue: Google AdSense, Kontera in-text ads, Amazon products, eBay auction items and any affiliate program you’d like to add. You get the revenue from 60 percent of the page views that generate income and HubPages gets the other 40 percent. The exception to that would be if you implemented an affiliate program; One hundred percent of income generated by click-throughs from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. It takes a while to get good at building good hubs but in my opinion, the revenue you can earn over time makes it worth the effort.

There are many affiliate programs out there but I like to use RevResponse on my hubs, because it provides great free information for people. When people click on links to any of the RevResponse publications or White Papers and qualify, you get paid. That’s all there is to it. The qualifying part is the catch though, so you have to understand that aspect. To learn more about the RevResponse rules, check out this affiliate review. It will help you determine whether signing up is worth your time.
