Online communities

Blogging

Having links on prominent blogs to your website is another way of ramping up your traffic.

You can also build up traffic to your site simply by buying it from site traffic service.By paying a Web traffic buying service, they will then add your website name and links to that site on other very popular sites that are relevant to your product, and help guide more interested people to your site. This practice is perfectly safe and legal, and can really ramp up the traffic to your site.

However, when selecting a service to buy website traffic , you should ensure that that service has a solid track record of producing effective results for its clients.  The service needs to adopt a targeted approach and not only be aimed at the correct site but that will focus on getting the “right” people to your site.  Do your due diligence when selecting a web buying service.  Check what the market is saying about them, look at their track record and check their references.  Doing this sort of background checking is the only reliable way to ensure that you get the quality of web traffic service that your site deserves and that your website’s traffic grows and enriches your business.

How to Outsource Your Most Dreaded Small Business Tasks

January 5th, 2010

If you own a small business or online eCommerce site, you understand how difficult it can be to find dependable (and affordable) employees.

If you’re like myself, you operate more like a one man (or one woman) show and do a “little bit of everything”, including customer service, shipping, bookkeeping, marketing, management, and everything in between.

While you’re busy doing these day-to-day type tasks, you just don’t have the time to work on the most important tasks…i.e. marketing your business.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could offload your most time-consuming tasks, either on a one-time or ongoing basis, to someone for $1 to $4 an hour?

Well, the good news is that you CAN, although maybe not in the same way as you would expect. Typically, you would advertise for the job in your local newspaper classifieds or ask your friends and collegues if they knew anyone that was looking for that type of job.

There are several problems with this method:

1 – You are typically constrained by the employee pool/talent in your LOCAL market

2 – You will need to pay at least the minimum wage (currently ~ $7.25 per hour)

3 – You typically will need to hire the person(s) on a full or part time basis

4 – You will probably need to provide the person with an office to work in, desk, computer, internet connection, phone, and not to mention, paying all the other misc expenses/taxes related to hiring an employee

The good news is that there is an answer! And that answer is…. Outsourcing.

There are several, very specific places where you can go to find talented, hard-working people to do any and all tasks related to running and marketing your small business. In addition, you can employees that are located outside the United States or Europe where you can pay as little as $1 to $4 per hour, depending on the skills that you need.

In addition, not only can you find people to help you with ongoing tasks, but you can also find people to help you with very specific, one-time projects like unique home designs that require skills that you might not even have access to in your local area.

Think about the possibilities!

Writing Quality Marketing Articles for an Online Business

November 27th, 2009

The effort that goes into article writing is what convinces many online business people to oursource much of their article marketing efforts by hiring a professional article writing and spinning service. I recognize that many other marketers prefer to do their the writing themselves, so I offer these strategies to better maximize the return on your considerable investment of time.

* Dedicate a regular time at least once a week to write articles. This is usually a several hours during the weekend and possibly a couple of hours each working week depending upon my schedule. With other writing commitments including my website, this sometimes is quite a stretch for me.

* Create an easy format that you can easily copy and paste your efforts into those sites where you regularly contribute. Record the following: (1) A title that meets the site’s policies such as www.ezinearticles.com of 100 characters (2) Word Count (3) Copyright Statement (4) Bio or Signature statement that meets the character guidelines (1101 for Ezine Articles) (5) key words (100 characters for Ezine Articles) (6) A table for key words to be used within the article and as search words.

The table is probably the most beneficial element within this format. As I write the article, I plug in phrases that I believe have high key word value. The table can be easily copied and pasted into a new article with similar key words. These key words then can be prioritized from highest to lowest and used as the keywords within the article submission site. By using the highlight tool, I can quickly determine what words are used within the article’s content.

* Write from your own personal experience Many people use the web to locate answers to their questions, so your personal experiences actually lend credibility. Use the personal touch to begin to build a relationship and not to “sell” your product or service. Be real and respectful to each and every reader. Feel free to incorporate a bit of humor, if the subject matter allows it. Leave them wanting more, as the old show business cliche goes. After all, you want them to click your link to end up on your website.

* When you choose a topic, rely on your keyword research to direct you. If you have an exceptionally long article, break it into 2 or more shorter articles.

* I always write using wordpad or some text editor so that I can avoid embedding those invisible codes that are part of any document that comes from a word processing program. However, I then paste the article into MSWord in order to get a quick word count and look for simple spelling errors. I don’t save the copy in the word processing program, though. I want to paste my article into submission forms in pure text format.

I hope that these tips will proved useful to you and that your article syndication efforts become a bit easier. Never lose sight, though, of the central purposes: traffic, traffic and traffic.

Affiliate Classroom 2.0 – Your PPC Search Engine Submission Campaign

November 27th, 2009

Pay per click search engine submission can basically help you get traffic without paying for pay per click selling. PPC marketing involves paying for each person that clicks an advertisement to get your website. Search engine submission generally involves getting search engines to note your site.  This is one of techniques that Affiliate Classroom 2 covers.

But pay per click search engine submission is a specific sort of marketing. When you start a pay per click ( ppc ) campaign, your internet site wont always show up on a search results page. It might show up on another website thats part of the network.

If your site is about roses, for example, your pay per click ad might show up on a site with information about roses. This can help visitors of that site who are obviously interested in roses find your site through the ad.
But PPC search engine submission campaigns help your add show up on a search results page when anyone searches for information about roses. It can also involve strategic search engine submission of your site to raise its visibility.

Some advertising campaigns of Affiliate Classroom 2.0 use ppc marketing, search engine submission, SEO techniques and a selection of other techniques mixed to give a site the most exposure possible.

To use pay per click search engine submission to get tons of traffic without paying for an advertising campaign, you must use good SEO methodologies. Thru search engine optimization you can get your site noted on the first page of search engine results for precise keywords.

By doing this, for no charge at all your site is featured for a specific keyword, just as the paid ads are. Search engine optimization systems like making sure the keyword shows up a specific number of times in your page will help you achieve that high ranking.

According to Affiliate Classroom 2.0, getting other websites to link to your internet site will also increase it’s ranking. Also, having several pages on your internet site that are all rich with the keywords youre trying to find can help your website rank higher.

If your site is about propagating half-breed roses, then ensure that phrase makes up about 1.5% to two percent of the text on one of your web pages. Use a keyword tool online to find the %, or merely ensure it shows up 5 to seven times per 500 words or so.

Ensure the phrase is in the title of your page, the first sentence of text, and in your meta description. Submit the site to the search engines ( or merely wait for their bots to move your page and save it in their cache ) and then see where your site ranks.

Search on your chosen keyword in a search engine of choice like Google. If your site is among the first few that show up in the results, then your SEO results have been successful.

Your website is getting as much exposure through pay per click search engine submission as those advertisements you see on the right, and youve done it all for free.

10 Ways To Increase Your Targeted Web Site Traffic

November 13th, 2009

In order to create a successful website you must have traffíc or visitors to your site. Without traffíc your perfect site is useless; it might as well not even exist.

Moreover, because traffíc is an essential element of any successful site, many novice webmasters make the mistake of believing all traffíc is created equal.

Huge mistake.

For if traffíc is King; targeted traffíc is God. All traffíc is good, but there is a great distinction between ordinary traffíc and targeted traffíc. Someone clicking on a link to your site who is looking for the exact information or product you have displayed is said to be a targeted visitor. These are the kinds of visitors or traffíc you must try to obtain in your marketing and link building.

Why?

Because targeted traffíc is often the key to building a successful site on the web. Targeted traffíc will greatly íncrease your salës conversions, bring back repeat visitors and help your site gain a prominent online presence.

So here are 10 targeted traffíc building steps you can take:

1. Google Is God!

Only half-kidding but at least where targeted traffíc is concerned, Google is still the all important being you should be worshipping online. Don’t ignore the other two major demigods Yahoo! and MSN, but Google will deliver most of your traffíc. Your website stats will point this out to you daily, so you must optimize your site for Google.

As a general rule make your pages Google friendly by only using one topic per page, include your keywords in the title, meta description and url for that page. It would also be helpful to have your main keywords in the first headline on the page and most experienced webmasters try to place their keywords in the first 90 words and in the last 25 words. Sprinkle your keywords and variations throughout the copy but don’t keyword sp@m, just let the engines know this is what your page is about.

2. Target The Right Keywords

You must target the right keywords in order to get useful traffíc to your site. You must first chëck the number of searches and amount of competition for your chosen keywords. You can use software like Keyword Elite or sites like www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ which will give you the Overture and WordTracker monthly stats to help you pick the right keywords for your site. Instead of picking highly competitive keywords, take the middle road and milk the ‘long tail keywords’!

Most webmasters create a master keyword líst for their site then branch off into sub-categories from this master líst. For example, if you have a site on laptops your sub-keyword categories could be laptop accessories, laptop batteries and so on. Similarly, most webmasters only develop their sites in a simple hierarchy with the homepage as the center with their major keywords as separate pages and then sub-categories branching out from these. Your webpages should not be more than three clicks away from your homepage as this will really displease the search engine gods!

3. Have Relevant Content

Perhaps what will appease the SE gods the most is relevant content. Your content has to be relevant to the topic of your site. Keep everything on topic and within the scope of your site.

Relevant, helpful content will also be the biggest magnet for targeted traffíc. Surfers are usually looking for information, give them what they want and your site will reap the rewards. Original, high quality, relevant content will draw in targeted traffíc to your site so make sure you have some good content to satisfy your visitors and the search engines.

4. Let The Search Engines Find You

Instead of submittíng your site to the search engines, let them find your site. One of the best ways to do this is by placing your links on high traffíc/spidered sites: on online forums matching your site’s content, on social networks such as MySpace, YouTube, Squidoo… and on article directories like Ezinearticles, Goarticles, and Ideamarketers. The search engines will follow these links and index your site before you even know it.

5. Use Traffíc Modules

One of the most effective ways to bring in targeted traffíc is to create traffíc modules: whole areas of your site devoted to one sub-topic. For example, if you have a general site on cars, you could develop a whole section on a car-buying guide. Another section could be on car accessories, link all these pages together into a neat traffíc cluster on your site. The search engines will love these closely grouped pages and reward you with lots of targeted traffíc.

6. Use Articles

Don’t forget article marketing, just because it has become extremely popular doesn’t mean it has become any less effective. Writing short helpful informative articles on your site’s topic is still one of the best ways to get targeted traffíc to your site. Place your links with your targeted keyword anchor text in the resource box.

Article marketing is an invaluable source not only of targeted traffíc but also one-way links to your site. These links will help íncrease your rankings, especially in Google which considers each link as a democratic vote for your site and ranks each page with a PageRank PR 0-10.

Articles are also extremely important for pre-selling to your potential customers. These articles warm or soften up your prospective buyers to your salespitch before they even reach your site.

7. Build Opt-ín Lists

Most marketers and webmasters use opt-ín lists to bring targeted visitors back to their sites. Instead of just receiving that visitor once, you can get repeat visits by using a simple follow-up system with an autoresponder. Studies have consistently shown it might take 6 or 7 follow-ups before a potential customer buys.

Building a subscríber líst will also be helpful in creating a web community around your site. These community members may become your most targeted of all your visitors. Likewise, you should have a bookmark feature on all your pages, any repeat visitor is a targeted visitor!

8. Have Blogs & RSS Feeds

Make sure you have a blog and RSS feed attached to your site. This will not only bring in targeted traffíc but your visitors can also subscribe to your RSS feed. This will bring targeted visitors back to your site. Use a free site like Google’s own www.blogger.com or better yet create your own blog using free software such as WordPress.

9. Use Social Media

Build links and contacts in all the important social media networks such as MySpace, YouTube and Flickr. These social networks are a great source of very targeted traffíc.

10. Use Multimedia

Perhaps the biggest opportuníty to build targeted traffíc is using video and audio media on your site. These will help personalize your message or content and build trust with your visitors. Video clips also have a great viral potential which will bring in traffíc.

Sites such as YouTube, Google Video can help you get your message or content in front of millíons of eyes overnight. Savvy marketers are already exploiting the traffíc potential of this new multimedia trend overtaking the web. Why should they have all the fun? You too, can take advantage of these free media sites and pull in targeted traffíc to your site.

Of course, there are many more ways of getting targeted traffíc to your site. But just using one or two of these techniques should íncrease your targeted traffíc in the coming months. Appease the traffíc gods by putting these steps into practice and see for yourself.

How To Be Succesful Marketing Online

September 8th, 2009

It is a known fact that almost 90 percent of affiliates earn less than hundred dollars per month. So, you cannot rely on affiliate marketing. But if you put in some extra effort, then you can increase you commissions. Before entering into this field, a lot of people are under the false assumption that affiliate marketing is basically a short-cut way of becoming rich without much effort. Actually it is not such an easy business. Do not think that you will put a couple of banners on your website and you will start profiting. A great place to start is with the tips below or the course Commission Ritual.

There are some tips to increase your affiliate commissions:

1. Build a good website

Good website means, a website that attracts the visitors’ attention. It must not be rich in graphics. It should be simple and easy to navigate. It should be easy for your visitor to find what they want.

2. Do SEO or Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization is very necessary to drive steady traffic to your site. This is a very big topic. There are various techniques to increase the page rank of your website. Banner exchange is a famous technique. Search engine friendly URLs is another search engine optimization technique. This is covered in the Commission Ritual review.

3. Select the Right Merchant

Pick the right merchant to start with. Don’t look at the profits offered. Look at the expertise and experience of the merchants. See their history. How many products they have launched in the markets and how many were successful. Are they very good in marketing? Are they providing good service to their customers?

Find the answers of all above questions and you will discover the right merchant that will give you good and consistent business.

4. Increase Traffic to Your Website

Getting a lot of traffic to your site is basically the key factor in this field. You must consider that not every visitor is going to be a buyer. Only a few of them will buy your product, so it is important to get more and more traffic to your website. Some important techniques are email campaigns, banner exchange, RSS feeds, selection of the right keywords, writing search engine friendly content on your website etc. Check out the Commission Ritual bonus for more on this.

5. Pre Sales

An important point is to read the minds of your visitors to understand what they need and then offer them the right thing at the right cost. Try to attract people with the additional things that they would like. For example, if you are promoting laptops on your website, then you can add some quality articles on how to troubleshoot laptops. This will attract some visitors. It is possible that your visitor might not make a sale in the first visit. But if he likes your articles he will come back to study your articles and it is possible that he may make a purchase after some visits. This idea of offering some useful free gifts to your visitors is called pre selling. It is very helpful in increasing your sales.

You cannot get the desired results in a few days, but it requires some time. Concentrate on how to improve your business by making a good website and driving more and more traffic to your website. Select the best merchant and bring visitors in by promoting relevant products and gifts. One happy customer will probably bring you at least 10 extra customers.

Getting Traffic and Sales From Free Ads

May 11th, 2009

To tell you the truth, I really feel sort of silly using free advertising forums, as they seem a bit ridiculous. But the fact is, I have discovered that they really do bring in regular traffic and sometimes sales and clicks as well.

Some of these free ads sites get huge amounts of traffic, so if you make it a habit to post ads on a regular basis, your ads will get seen and you just might be pleasantly surprised at the results.

Other than writing killer ad copy, there are no big secrets to making it work, but here are a few little tricks I use to maxmize my results:

First of all, if the forum allows it, I always make a “mega-thread.” This just means that I make a thread with one of my ads in it, and then I keep coming back and replying to that same thread over and over again with the same ad or a similar one. This bumps it to the top of the forum. Not only that, it accumulates the most views and has the most replies as compared to the single ad threads, thus making it look really popular.

Another thing I do is always give my own threads a five-star rating which provides instant credibility.

And lastly, I also reply to popular threads that others have posted using my own ads and gaining even more exposure.

I find that the only thing that it takes to be successful when posting to free advertising forums, is to come up with good ad copy and the just keep attacking the forums, posting my ads again and again whenever time permits. There is automatic forum posting software that makes it breeze too. Otherwise it can be a little on the tedious side. However, if you don’t want to use software to post ads, you can used tabs in your browser and keeps a bunch of tabs open with all of your forums.

I also post to the free classfieds sites along with the free ads forums that I post to. Again a few of these classifieds sites also have big traffic. They might as well be checking out what you have to offer.

There’s something else worth considering here as well. These sites actually do count for having backlinks as far as the search engines go. Of course these are not like links from the home page of some big authority site, but still, they do count as far the search engines go. The bigger ones seem to get spidered constantly. So giving a little thought to the anchor text you use for your links doesn’t really hurt.

One final thought I have: I haven’t tried this yet myself, but one were to get a profitable system down with the free advertising sites, it would then be possible to outsource the ad posting and really crank up the heat. There’s no shortage of low-cost virtual assistants and freelancers eager to this type of thing. Well it’s something to consider anyway.
